Autism Spectrum Disorder

Understanding, supporting and celebrating neurodiversity — compassionate, evidence-based therapy for children and families on the autism journey.

Understanding ASD

What is Autism Spectrum Disorder?

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a lifelong neurodevelopmental condition that affects social communication, behaviour, and sensory processing in diverse and complex ways. No two children with autism are exactly alike — the spectrum is wide and each child has a unique profile of strengths and challenges.

With the right early support, children with ASD can make dramatic progress. Research consistently shows that early, intensive, evidence-based therapy leads to significantly better long-term outcomes in communication, daily living skills, and quality of life.

At Reach N Rise, we take a strengths-first approach to autism support — celebrating what each child can do while providing targeted help in areas where they need it most.
