Learning Disabilities

A learning disability doesn't define how smart a child is — only how their brain processes information differently. With the right support, every child can learn, grow and succeed.

Understanding Learning Disabilities

What are Learning Disabilities?

Learning disabilities are neurologically-based processing differences that affect a child's ability to acquire, organise, retain, understand or express information in specific areas. They are not related to intelligence — many highly intelligent children have learning disabilities that require targeted support to navigate successfully.

Common learning disabilities include dyslexia (reading and spelling), dyscalculia (maths), dysgraphia (writing), and auditory or visual processing disorders. These can occur alone or in combination, and often co-occur with ADHD or attention difficulties.

At Reach N Rise, our special educators and therapists conduct detailed learning assessments to identify each child's specific profile. We then design multisensory, evidence-based intervention that works with the brain's natural learning pathways — building confidence alongside skills.
