What is OT?

Occupational Therapy for Children

Occupational therapy helps children develop, recover or maintain the skills needed for daily activities (their "occupations") — eating, dressing, writing, playing and participating in school life.

At Reach N Rise, our OT specialists use evidence-based, play-centred techniques to strengthen your child's fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care independence and cognitive abilities in a warm, engaging environment.

"Occupational therapy doesn't just build skills — it builds the confidence to use them every day."

Our Approach

How We Deliver OT at Reach N Rise

Every session is purposeful, warm and uniquely designed for your child.

1

Initial Assessment

A comprehensive evaluation of your child's strengths and areas for growth across all OT domains — completed in a relaxed, child-friendly environment.

2

Individualised Goals

We co-create a therapy plan with you. Goals are specific, measurable, and directly linked to what matters most for your child's daily life.

3

Play-Based Therapy

Sessions use purposeful play, sensory activities and structured tasks that children find engaging — therapy shouldn't feel like work.

4

Parent Coaching

We share home strategies, activities and techniques so you can reinforce gains between sessions and feel confident supporting your child.

5

Regular Progress Reviews

We review goals with you every 6–8 weeks, adjusting the plan as your child progresses and new targets emerge.

6

School Collaboration

Where helpful, we liaise with your child's school to ensure strategies are consistent and school participation is supported.

★★★★★

My son used to refuse to hold a pencil. After 4 months of OT at Reach N Rise, he's not only writing but asking to practise. The therapists here are genuinely exceptional — warm, patient and highly skilled.
